The idea of the Erasmus+ project is to strengthen the principles of good governance in sport by providing practical examples and discussing their use, challenges and opportunities for sports organizations in the Baltic region and the EU.
During the 12-month project “Application of the Principles of Good Governance in Sports Organizations” (January 2019 – December 2019), analyses of good governance in sport in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were prepared, focusing on national legislation, projects and good practices related to good governance policy. Also, a training format for the application of national principles of good governance intended for federations and sports clubs was developed and implemented.
Project coordinator – Lithuanian Union of Sport Federations, partners: Lithuanian National Olympic Committee, sports club “Žaliasis lankas”, Latvian Sports Federation Council, Estonian National Olympic Committee.
