20h Anniversary of he Lithuanian Olympic Academy
On 20 November 2009, the Lithuanian Olympic Academy celebrated two notable events - firstly the 20th years anniversary of its foundation and furthermore the 15 years commemoration to its journal "Sports Science".
Lithuanian Olympic Academy celebrated
The celebration was attended by Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, LNOC President Arturas Poviliunas and Ritas Vaiginas, acting Director General of the State Department for Physical Education and Sports.
Congratulatory speeches were pronounced by the guests, leaders of Olympic Academies from Latvia, Czech Republic and Belarus. Olympic Academy President prof. Povilas Karoblis received a host of memorable presents, medals, prizes and diplomas.
